Diclofenac works by inhibiting the action of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes which are involved in the production of prostaglandins and mediate inflammation, pain, and fever. By reducing their production, Diclofenac helps decrease pain, swelling, and inflammation.
Dicyclomine works by blocking the action of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that causes smooth muscles in the gastrointestinal tract and inhibits relaxation of smooth muscles and reduces abdominal spasms and cramping.
