Cefuroxime Axetil 500 mg + Potassium Clavulanate 125 mg.
Keftrum CV contain cefuroxime axetil & potassium clavulanate tablets ip a new more powerful defense against resistant bacterial infections
Cefuroxime axetil is a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic which inhibits synthesis of bacterial cell walls, and binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs )leading to bacterial cell wall destruction and cause cell lysis and which is also effective against a broad range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
potassium clavulanate inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes an d produced by bacteria which break down beta-lactam antibiotics like cefuroxime, rendering them ineffective and inhibiting beta-lactamase, Clavulanate prevents the breakdown of Cefuroxime, thereby extending its activity against beta-lactamase-producing resistant bacteria.
KEY POINTS of Keftrum CV
✅Broad-Spectrum Antibiotic: Combination targets a wide variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria which is effective against numerous types of bacterial infections, including respiratory, urinary, skin, and soft tissue infections.
✅Efficacy against resistant bacteria: Highly effective against beta-lactamase-producing bacteria and they produce an enzyme that can degrade many antibiotics, rendering them ineffective. Clavulanate inhibits this enzyme, allowing Cefuroxime to work even against resistant organisms.
✅Convenient Dual Therapy: Cefuroxime Axetil & Potassium Clavulanate combine the benefits of an antibiotic and beta-lactamase inhibitor in one tablet andin which treatment regimen, improving patient compliance.
✅Fewer side effects: Effectively treating infections caused by beta-lactamase-producing bacteria, reduces the risk of complications associated with untreated or inadequately treated infections, ensuring quicker recovery.
INDICATIONS:
✅Respiratory Tract Infections
✅Gonorrhea
✅Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
RECOMMENDED BY SPECIALISTS
