Finderm MF Cream – The dual combination terbinafine hydrochloride & mometasone furoate cream primarily used to treat fungal skin infections. It is used to treat various skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, dermatitis, and tinea versicolor (lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs ).It is combination of two drugs, namely: Mometasone furoate (corticosteroid) and Terbinafine hydrochloride (antifungal). Mometasone furoate blocks the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen, and itchy. Terbinafine hydrochloride works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane (a compound present in the fungi to maintain the cell integrity) and resulting in fungal cell death.
